Their Silly Shame Words Aren’t Working Anymore Andrew Torba, October 20, 2021October 20, 2021 Share this: For God has not given us a Spirit of Fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.2 Timothy 1:7-8 In America we thankfully have the First Amendment which protects our speech and permits us to have intense theological and spiritual discussions about our faith regardless of who it might offend. Discussions about Jews, Judaism, and Jesus Christ are obviously central themes in any robust theological and Biblical debate going back 2,000 years. Jews likewise, going back to the beginning, have not hesitated to discuss what they see as Christian errors. The point is: neither Christians nor Jews are beyond criticism, discussion, or even mockery. Unfortunately in our culture of crybabies discussing any of these topics on the internet will result in many people getting extremely mad online and thrown into a hissyfit of screeching. Part of defending free speech online means actually using it, and using it often means that someone somewhere will be offended especially when it comes to matters of faith. I’ve said this many times, but it’s always worth repeating: I personally harbor no hatred for any group of people, Jews or other non-Christians included. In fact it is my hope and prayer that Jews and all people of this world accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is also my hope and prayer that those who do harbor true hatred for any group of people also accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. While we are commanded to hate evil, becoming consumed with the hatred of evil is not only unproductive; it inevitably becomes toxic to your soul and state of mind. I believe it is much more productive to build communities, infrastructure, and a society grounded in Christian values that does everything it can to protect our families and way of life from evil. I hope to start conversations that while controversial, can help lead people to Jesus Christ by the Grace of God. How often is ANYONE in the media or in our culture ever talking about Jesus Christ? The answer is never. The Enemy wants it that way. So if we need to stir the pot a little to get people talking about Jesus Christ and God’s Word, that’s what we are are going to do. If people want to call me a bigot, or a racist, or an antisemite, or whatever other shame words in order to shut me up they can have fun shouting to the wind. The trick of calling people silly names in order to shame them into submission and silence isn’t working anymore, and it certainly isn’t going to work on me. We are pushing beyond this arbitrary line in the sand set by those in power who seek to silence us and pin us against one another. I’m going to talk about the Bible. I’m going to talk about my faith in Jesus Christ. I’m not going to be ashamed or apologize for any of it. They don’t hate me. They hate Christ. If you speak Biblical Truth just a little too boldly they seethe into a fit of rage and surface their hatred of Him just long enough for those paying attention to start to take notice. More and more people are beginning to notice. The Enemy closed down our churches, censored us from the internet, stole our election, put our kids in muzzle masks, and is firing us for refusing their experimental shot, but Christians are still afraid of being called a silly name for speaking God’s Truth on the internet. When the Enemy calls you a shame word and you don’t flinch but instead double down you’ll be amazed at how quickly they slither away with their tail between their legs. Never apologize.Never flinch.Always double down. I’m not going to stop fighting to empower all of you and give you the ability to speak the truth boldly because an activist group cries on Twitter. I’m not going to stop working to build a parallel Christian society because people who hate me might call me a silly name. All men are fallen. We all fall short of the Glory of God. Jesus Christ is our Savior. We are saved by Grace through Faith in Him. There are no exceptions. No one gets a free pass. If you reject the Son you reject the Father. None of these statements above are remotely controversial. Indeed they have been standard Christian orthodoxy for thousands of years. Will these statements offend people? Absolutely. Does that mean as Christians that we should silently drift through the world, keep our mouths shut, and hope we don’t offend anyone by discussing matters of our faith? Of course not. We need to stand boldly in the Truth of God’s Word and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Now more than ever. People are hurting. People are vulnerable. They are scared. The need a Savior, and there is only one. Friends I’m praying for you tonight. Jesus loves you. He died for your sins. He saved me He can save you too. Believe in Him, follow and read God’s Word, and the Holy Spirit will radically transform your life. I’ve seen it done over and over and over again and it never gets old.I experience the Grace of God’s love and mercy daily. I see God working in the lives of Christian individuals, families, businesses, and communities everyday here on Gab and I know that is only a small fraction of the work He is doing right now. Keep the faith. Jesus is King, it’s time to start living like it! Andrew TorbaCEO, Gab.comOnly Jesus SavesOctober 20th, 2021 Uncategorized
