Dear Gab Community,
I write to you today with a heavy heart, as we face an unprecedented attack on our freedom of speech by a foreign nation. This week we received correspondence from the German government, threatening court proceedings against Gab for refusing to comply with their demands for censorship. This is a direct assault on our core values and the very principles upon which the United States was founded.
In a recent interview, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for greater federal regulation of social media platforms, asserting that “we lose total control” if these companies do not moderate content on their sites. This follows just one week after former Secretary of State John Kerry expressed concerns at a World Economic Forum panel about the First Amendment posing a challenge in combating online “misinformation” and “disinformation” related to climate change.
It is clear that the fight for free speech online is far from over.
The United States is on the brink of a major shift in its political landscape. As the existing regime continues to struggle with internal divisions, external threats, and a general loss of trust from the American people, a parallel government is emerging, led by a coalition of influential figures from both the public and private sectors.
I write to you today with a heavy heart, filled with righteous anger and a deep sense of concern for our fellow Americans who are suffering through one of the most devastating natural disasters in recent memory. As I pen these words, over one million homes in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee are without power, leaving countless families to grapple with the loss of their homes, vehicles, loved ones, and, in some cases, entire towns. This tragedy is a stark reminder that when disaster strikes, we simply cannot rely on our government to come to our rescue; it is in these moments that we must lean on each other and our faith.
In these uncertain times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges that face our nation and our world. The rebellion against God has reached unprecedented levels, and the consequences are evident in the chaos and destruction that surround us. Endless wars, the mass extermination of innocent lives, and the celebration of vice over virtue have become the norm. It is tempting to succumb to despair and apathy, to believe that our voices and actions are powerless in the face of such darkness.
As I write this post, news is breaking about a second assassination attempt by another leftist lunatic on President Donald J. Trump as he was out golfing today. This is a dire warning to all Americans. If they can come after President Trump, they can come after any of us. This is a clear sign that we are at a critical juncture in our nation’s history.
A few days ago, I stumbled upon a term that perfectly encapsulated the lifestyle of my wife and many of my close friends’ spouses: “crunchy mom.” Originating from TikTok circles, this term describes women who adhere to a “crunchy” lifestyle, valuing health, simplicity, and self-sufficiency. These women, often pejoratively labeled as old-fashioned or unconventional, are, in fact, the unsung heroes of our time. They are the countercultural moms raising up the next generation of children to avoid the toxicity all around us.
In a world where the power to express oneself freely is increasingly under threat, courage has become a rare and cherished commodity. We have been conditioned to submit to our adversaries out of fear, allowing them to dictate the boundaries of our thoughts and words. But if we are to reclaim our voices and restore the fundamental right of free speech, we must find the strength to stand up against those who seek to silence us.
As I sit down to write this, a convincing image (pictured above) is circulating all across the X, appearing to be a federal warrant for my arrest. When I first stumbled upon a network of anonymous accounts on X posting it this afternoon, it was news to me because I had not been arrested and I was not contacted by anyone in the US government about this.
The recent situation involving Starlink and the Brazilian government highlights a complex and concerning intersection of technology, law, and free speech. Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink, initially resisted a Brazilian Supreme Court order to block access to the social media platform X, also owned by Musk. This resistance was due to the Brazilian authorities freezing Starlink’s financial assets as leverage to enforce compliance with the order. Eventually, Starlink decided to comply with the order to maintain its operational license in Brazil, despite the asset freeze being contested as unlawful by the company.
This incident sets a worrisome precedent for free speech and the operations of foreign companies in sovereign nations. By freezing Starlink’s assets to enforce compliance, the Brazilian government has demonstrated a powerful tool that other countries might emulate to control digital platforms and content. Such actions could encourage governments worldwide to leverage financial and operational pressures to enforce censorship, potentially stifling free speech and innovation.

We’ve grown accustomed to the idea that social media platforms are free for users. However, the reality is that these platforms come with significant costs – server bills, engineering teams, legal fees, and more. Someone has to foot the bill. The notion that running a social network is cost-free is a dangerous illusion, and one that we must dispel if we want to preserve free speech online.
