Parallel Economy Update

We wanted to write a quick note to update you on some of our progress with the Parallel Economy on Gab. There are now over 3,700 businesses in the Parallel Economy! The Parallel Economy hashtag on Gab has over 37,000 posts from many of these businesses so be sure to check that out to discover goods and services from people who share your values. You can promote your business in the Parallel Economy by running ads on Gab here. We’ve greatly expanded our Parallel Economy ad network to include video ads, advanced targeting options, and much more. Participating in the Parallel Economy on Gab is a great way to start or grow your business.

On the Gab Marketplace there are over 5,000 active listings of products for sale with everything from books to cars and even houses! Many businesses have grown in the Parallel Economy and many more have been started right here on Gab. We have a growing ecosystem of business owners engaging in commerce, networking, and growth with people on Gab who share their values. It’s such a beautiful thing to see and we can’t wait to keep investing heavily in the Parallel Economy throughout the rest of this year and beyond.

We need your help to expand our infrastructure for Gab’s Parallel Economy.

As many of you know Gab operates on cash flow. We don’t have some big hedge fund or billionaire backing us. We are building our business the old fashioned way by keeping our costs low and generating revenue by providing value. We also own and manage our own server infrastructure so that we do not need to use Big Tech cloud services like Amazon AWS. We’ve invested heavily this year into expanding our hardware and data center capacity, but we need to ramp up these efforts even more to prepare for the 2022 midterm election, which we expect to drive a significant amount of traffic and growth for Gab. 

In the coming weeks we will also be opening up Gab TV, our YouTube alternative, for all users to upload to. For the past year and a half Gab TV uploading has been strictly limited to GabPRO users only mainly due to the cost of hosting large video files at scale. We are looking to purchase additional servers and a large amount of hard drive storage for this effort, which we believe is crucial for Gab’s continued growth. 

We need your help in order to do this. Servers and hard drives are incredibly expensive. If you would like to contribute to our efforts in expanding our server infrastructure please consider upgrading to GabPRO, making a purchase from the Gab Shop, making a donation, or running Gab Ads for your business.
