Embracing Joyful Warriorship: Standing Firm in the Face of Adversity Andrew Torba, September 20, 2024 Share this: In these uncertain times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges that face our nation and our world. The rebellion against God has reached unprecedented levels, and the consequences are evident in the chaos and destruction that surround us. Endless wars, the mass extermination of innocent lives, and the celebration of vice over virtue have become the norm. It is tempting to succumb to despair and apathy, to believe that our voices and actions are powerless in the face of such darkness. However, as followers of Christ, we must remember that we are called to be joyful warriors, fighting not with swords and shields, but with the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word. We are not called to sit idly by and watch as our nation crumbles, but to actively engage in the fight for righteousness and justice. First and foremost, we must remain faithful to God in the midst of adversity. He is our rock, our refuge, and our strength. In the midst of the storm, we can find comfort in knowing that He is sovereign over all, and that He will never leave us or forsake us. Our hope must be firmly fixed on Him, and our trust must be unwavering. At the same time, we cannot simply sit back and watch as our nation descends into chaos. We must take action, using our voices, our votes, and our talents to stand against the evil that surrounds us. This is not a call to violence or revolution, but to active engagement in the political and cultural battles that shape our world. We must be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, using our influence to promote righteousness and oppose wickedness. Realizing that voting alone will not solve our nation’s problems, we must also focus on building, preparing, and planning for the future. The multi-ethnic, multi-cultural third-world hellscape that our nation is becoming may ultimately be undone, and we must be prepared to rebuild our civilization on a foundation of Christian values and principles when it does. This will likely involve the creation of separate nations at the state level, as the federal government is all but lost to the forces of darkness and implodes. But we must not lose hope, for we serve a God who is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. He has called us to be joyful warriors, to fight the good fight of faith with courage and conviction. We must trust in His plan and His timing, knowing that He will use us to bring about His will in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty of our world. So let us embrace the attitude of joyful warriors, standing firm in our faith and actively engaging in the fight for righteousness and justice. Let us remember that we are not alone, for the God who created the universe is with us, and He has called us to be His instruments of change in this world. With His strength and His guidance, we can and will rebuild our nation and our world, one brick at a time, for the glory of God and the good of all people. Let us look to the example of the apostle Paul, who wrote, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13). As we face the challenges of our day, we can find the strength and courage we need in Christ. We must also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” As we embrace joyful warriorship, we must also remember that our ultimate hope is not in this world, but in the world to come. We are called to be “strangers and pilgrims on the earth” (Hebrews 11:13), seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). As we fight the good fight of faith, we must always keep our eyes fixed on the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). May God give us the strength to endure, fight, and build. Andrew TorbaCEO, Gab.comChrist is King Bold Christian Writing American Christianityandrew torbaChristian Livinggab
